«to describe the music itself... it's going to be difficult. Lhasa is all about the voice, even more so than usual screamo bands, and to the extent where it might be said that the instruments are completely secondary. It starts off sounding like ordinary post-rock, and then erupts slowly into deep, throaty vocals. At first, they sounded like ordinary metal screaming, but immediately one can hear so much texture, variation and shape as to escape comparison. Effectively, Lhasa uses the human voice as an instrument (an interesting inversion of the more common technique of using an instrument to mimic the human voice), conveying mood, energy and emotion almost solely through the medium of gruff screaming.»

Esentially, Phoenix Bodies is just a band made up of 5 very different individuals with very different ideas of what this band means, it's purpose, and what it gives back to us personally.

Phoenix Bodies began in the late summer of 2001 as a side project of sorts for Colin with Thomas and Carl. Derek & Ben were added as vocalists in 2003. Adam replaced Ben in fall of 2003. The line up has since remained the same.

Init Records released the split CD with Enkephalin in July of 2003 and we did a tour together. In December of 2003 we recorded 6 new tracks with Mike Dixon (Rapider Than Horsepower) for splits with Shikari, Raein, and Tyranny of Shaw. We played a bunch of shows and then did a month long European tour that spanned 7 countries.

Sex Positions were born out of the untimely demise of Boston hardcore stalwarts, The Dedication.

Sex Positions are like no other artists out there. Driven by their dire need for musical experimentation, they harbor just as many new wave and classic punk influences as they do traditional hardcore. Breaking new ground within punk and hardcore scene while nipping at the heels at even the most evolved independent bands out there today.

Sex Positions "Self Titled" CD was released on Deathwish in 2003.

This "Self Titled" CD was produced and engineered by Kurt Ballou @ Godcity Studios (Converge). The album is made up of 11 magnificent songs that are as sonically infectious as they are stunningly unique. Incorporating hardcore, punk, rock, and electronic influences into a new kind of animal.

After the release of their debut, Sex Positions went through a drastic lineup change in the summer of 2004, losing every original member except founding member Eric Marcelino. He soon revamped the band with a new lineup, and played shows up and down the east coast in support of the album. In early 2005, Sex Positions headed out on their first European tour as a four piece. The band made the best of the situation, playing successful shows with Converge, Modern Life is War, and others.

They changed their name for "NECKBOLTS" after the leaving of the two foundators members.
